Star Discount Chemist commits to protecting SA’s workforce from influenza

As the South Australian business community prepares for what is expected to be a significant influenza season in 2023, Star Discount Chemist has committed to protecting corporate workforces from the virus.
Partnering with Business SA, Star Discount Chemist is providing a corporate vaccination program that allows Business SA members to access flu vaccinations for themselves and their staff, as well as the option of co-administered COVID-19 vaccinations. This initiative will run from April until the end of May.
Peter Piliouras, CEO of Star Pharmacy Group, says that last year’s bumper flu season, which returned with a vengeance after the previous couple of years of restrictions, means that his team is ready to deliver flu vaccinations to the local community. He also emphasised that receiving the vaccination before the winter season hits is a highly effective way to protect oneself and vulnerable members of the community.
In addition to the corporate program, Star Discount Chemist and other Star Pharmacy independent community pharmacies are urging all members of the community to book their flu vaccinations via online bookings or walk-ins (selected stores only) now. Piliouras is encouraging everyone to visit their local Star Discount Chemist to arm themselves against the flu.
